What’s your house style?

Looking for a new home is one of the most exciting adventures…there are many things to do in preparation, such as, getting qualified for a loan, figuring out your monthly payment, staying competitive and on top of our fast-paced Denver market, etc.  However, if you are working with a good agent, you’ll be on your way to start the adventure!

Choosing the perfect house is the fun part. And there are so many different architectural styles to pick from!  I have always been drawn to architecture and interior design. I spent the last 18 years binge-watching HGTV, obsessing about renovations, interior design, décor, curve appeal, etc. Nothing is more satisfying than transforming a house into your dream home. But first is first…what architectural style do you love and why?

There are at least 10 different styles that you will easily recognize in Denver. Some neighborhoods are best known as the “Mid-Century Modern” paradise or the “Denver Square” haven.  Today, I will just list the most prominent Denver styles. Stay tune for my next blog to learn more about each style and where to find the best examples in Denver.

  • Victorian

  • Bungalow

  • Denver Square

  • Tudor

  • Mid-Century Modern

  • Colonial

  • Craftman

  • Cape Cod

  • Ranch

  • Contemporary Row House

Also, if you are design enthusiast...Denver Design Week is around the corner, October 12-19th.  There are always great opportunities for wonderful Mid-Century-Modern home tours, fascinating speakers, vendors, etc.  I’ll have more information soon!
